Owner
Michael Josephs
Michael first got to know Brooklyn through the eyes of his rescue pup, Willy. Together during their daily walks, they met many pups in the surrounding Prospect Park neighborhoods and quickly saw a need for dog walking services. And so he decided to make a career change from a special needs teacher to the owner of Parkside Pups. Michael’s years of experience with dog walking, pet sitting, and training made him the right person for the job. Being a dog parent himself, Michael understood the importance of caring for a customer’s pup as if they were his own...all while ensuring reliability, safety, and fun of course!
Michael approaches dog care with kindness and with a positive attitude towards learning. He is a believer in consistent positive reinforcement, treat motivation, and creating a calm learning environment. Together with his team of dog walkers, Parkside Pups provides a personalized experience for each pup and their owners.
When Michael is not walking or training pups, he enjoys hiking, biking, playing the drums, and spending time with his wife and baby boy, Charlie. Of course, wherever Michael is, you can find Willy right by his side!

Field Supervisor
Trevor Safford
Trevor joined the Parkside Pups team as Field Supervisor in July 2025.
A lifelong dog lover, Trevor has always jumped at the chance to care for dogs—whether they were his own or belonged to friends. He’s always felt a special connection with pups and describes the experience as “being part of the pack.”
After spending over a decade in the private security field, Trevor made the decision to pivot into a career that aligned more closely with his passions. He spent two years as a Field Supervisor at a NYC-based dog walking company, where he worked hands-on with hundreds of pups, met with new clients, and trained and supported incoming team members.
Trevor brings a calm, focused energy to his role and is committed to delivering care, patience, and attention to detail in every interaction.
Outside of work, Trevor enjoys music, diving into new interests, and unwinding with a good movie or video game. He believes “it’s all about the little things in life that we have to take the time to learn to enjoy,” and he brings that mindful attitude to both his personal and professional life. Trevor is excited to be part of the Parkside Pups team and looks forward to supporting both pups and people every step of the way.

Field Supervisor
Sara Marks
Sara joined Parkside Pups in early 2025 as a dog walker and quickly grew into her role as Field Supervisor. A lifelong animal lover with over a decade of hands-on experience, she’s known for her upbeat energy, patience, and trust-first approach—especially when working with shy or nervous pups.
After moving to Brooklyn in 2024, Sara turned her lifelong passion for dogs into a career, building strong relationships with pets and their families along the way. She’s pet CPR certified and believes every dog deserves to feel safe, understood, and treated like family—values she brings to every walk, visit, and training moment.
What Sara loves most about Parkside Pups is the sense of community—among the team, the pups, and the families they serve. For her, dog walking isn’t just a job; it’s about connection, care, and helping every dog thrive.
When she’s not out with the pack, you’ll find Sara creating content for small businesses, thrifting for hidden gems, or relaxing in the park with a good book and a coffee in hand.
